En esta situación de crisis es muy importante captar nuevos clientes, aunque no debe llevarse adelante a cualquier precio y no es conveniente aceptar los nuevos pedidos analizando solo el beneficio inmediato. Veamos casos que se le pueden plantear:
- Le hacen un pedido significativo pero le piden rebajar mucho el precio. Aunque le puede reportar ciertos beneficios, la rentabilidad que obtendrá es muy inferior a la que consigue en la fabricación y venta de sus productos habituales. Debe plantearse si la empresa puede asumir el trabajo con la estructura actual de máquinas y personal fijo, ya que los costes pueden aumentar.
- Otros factores a considerar antes de aceptar el pedido:

- Capacidad de producción. Este nuevo pedido le hará acercarse más al límite de su capacidad de producción y deberá considerar si en el futuro se verá obligado a rechazar pedidos más rentables y que esté seguro de que no va a sufrir un aumento de costes fijos, ya que un pequeño aumento de estos costes, le puede dejar en nada el beneficio derivado del nuevo pedido.

- Riesgo. Debe verificar que la operación no presenta riesgos, por lo que la solvencia del nuevo cliente será un factor fundamental a tener en cuenta.

- Margen. La disminución del margen que se produce puede generar dudas en una entidad bancaria que analice su balance para otorgarle pólizas o préstamos.
Como conclusión, le recordamos que antes de aceptar nuevos pedidos y sobre todo los que son importantes, considere otros aspectos y no simplemente el beneficio inmediato. Tenga en consideración los factores que le indicamos.
